Because you want to? 😉 Seriously though, you should vote for the scientist you find the most relatable, or most fun, or the coolest. If you’re not sure, ask us more questions!
      .
(PS: I’m going to use the money on some awesome LEGO robots :-] science activities for kids, which might be something worth winning for)

Because I am the greatest! Serious answer: you should vote for whoever’s answers you’ve found most helpful, interesting etc.

I believe that most of my science colleagues like me are not actually focused on the final prize but the taking part, answering and hopefully inspiring you all.

However, if you are not sure who to vote for then ask yourself :
Who do you think has the best idea for what to do with the prize?
Who answered your question in the most interesting or helpful way?
Who do you like the most?

It would be great to win as it means that I have hopefully ticked most of the boxes above, but my colleagues all have good reasons to win.

      Cheers
      Kathryn

If I’ve entertained you and given you a good idea about life as a scientist, then you should vote for me! If not, ask me more questions!

I agree with Kathryn, the prize money and your votes aren’t as important to me as hopefully inspiring some of you to pursue a career in STEM and science related fields.

Hopefully that answer will get me a few votes 🙂

Because if I win I’ll use the wonga to fund travel around the UK, going into schools and academies (particularly in disadvantaged areas) where a career in science isn’t seen as an option, to show the students how they really can be the next generation of scientists and change the world 🙂
