      A light gas gun is a gun that uses the compression and sudden release of a light gas (hydrogen or helium) to accelerate a projectile to high speed.

      If you get a pump and put your hand over the end. Push the plunger down until you cannot move it any more than move your hand the gas is realised quickly. Same principles but at higher pressures.

      The LGG can reach speeds of at most 7.5 km per second!!
