I actually did one of those tests a few weeks ago: my type is INTJ, “The Architect”, which is the same as Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games and Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes – love both those characters 😀
I am INTJ too, though I have not actually done the test properly. In the Colour Works test I am very very Green.
However, I know a lot of extroverted people who are scientists so don’t let the fact that Agnes, Anna and I are apparently similar make you think you have to be a certain type of person to be a scientist.
I did it years ago, I can’t remember what I got, but I know my result would be very different now, I used to be quite quiet and insecure, but I’m definitely more outgoing, friendly and confident than I’ve ever been.
As Kathryn said, lots of different types of people are scientists, and they all use their strengths in different ways, being more outgoing helps me to make a good impression with other important scientists, so they’re more likely to remember me. Being more confident helps when you have to tell others about your work and why you love it so much. There’s no right or wrong personality for science.
