If you can, to talk to your parents, teacher and friends. They can give you help and advice and make you feel happier. Also to not give up. Sometimes things seem really hard, but if you keep trying eventually they get easier.

Well, that’s a very difficult question, there are a lot of different reasons why someone might be struggling at school and I’m not really trained in how to help school children with their problems, but I know teachers are! So maybe I would suggest that they find a teacher they like and tell them about their problems? See if they can help?

Not everyone is great in school, some do much better when they get out of school and into real life, I do think it is important to try hard though, because getting the best grades you can will make it easier to try all different sorts of jobs later.

Don’t give up. Even when life is at its hardest. Find friends outside of your school that you can talk to, join a club, guides, scouts, or sports club. This will give you some focus and friends away from school.

Also, talk to your parents and if there is a particular teacher you feel you can speak to, speak to them too. Discuss your problems and issues you are having.

I had a really bad time in year 8, but I made some friends outside school and we are still friends to this day. I also chatted to my french Teacher, who really helped me find what the problems were and how to overcome them.

Don’t give up, be strong, you can get through this.

Never be afraid to ask for help!!

I really struggled with Biology in Years 7-9 and though I was nervous at first, I’m very glad I asked the teacher for extra help.

Teachers will ALWAYS be willing to give extra help because (a) it’s their job and (b) they went into the teaching profession to help young people and they will always have the desire to give whatever help they can.

      Ask for help.
      .
You’ve already done a great job asking us. Sadly, we’re not there with you, we don’t know what you’re struggling with – I really wish I could help with whatever the struggle is, academic or personal. But there are many people that are there and can help, especially your teachers. All you have to do is ASK.
      .
And know that you’re not alone. Many people struggle, and it’s okay. You’ve got to keep at it, keep trying, but you don’t have to do it alone.
