• Question: What makes your hair the colour it is?

      Well I didn’t know the answer, so I’ve looked it up (we scientists have to do that A LOT!) it’s the same thing that gives some people darker skin than others, something called melanin. In skin it acts as a defence against the sun, to try and make it less damaging, so I assume it does the same for your hair/head!

      There are 2 types of melanin, one is more red, one more brown, which explains why there are people with red hair!
