I am trying to find out where the Earth’s water came from. We know the Earth was very hot and molten when it formed, and so all the water (and other volatile material) would have been evaporated away.

Therefore, the Earth’s water must have been delivered to Earth by comets and asteroids later. I am trying to find out what type of asteroid or comet was responsible by measuring the composition of different meteorites and compare them to the Earth to see if any match.
