Telescopes have seen so many galaxies that we can’t possibly keep track of them all!
      .
But there is a way even YOU can help! It’s a really cool way for anyone – old or young, scientist or student or anyone – to help with it: Galaxy Zoo – https://www.zooniverse.org/projects/zookeeper/galaxy-zoo/
      .
Zooniverse has loads of other projects too, from space to biology https://www.zooniverse.org/projects – anything you might be interested in, and you’re actually helping science!

There are more galaxies in the universe than grains of sand on Earth.

Latest estimates are about 100 billion. But it could be even more.
